How we Started
Meet the boy who put the KICKER in KICKcancER. At 2 years old, Kicker Johnson, the son of our founders Season and Josh Johnson, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. His mom is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with a passion for helping people live their healthiest lives and used her knowledge to help Kicker thrive through his battle with cancer. Other families began seeing Kicker’s remarkable resilience and asked for guidance. As more began to benefit from her knowledge, Season knew she was being called to this movement. A movement to help families not only survive childhood cancer but thrive through it.

WHAT IS KICKCANCER?
We're committed to empowering pediatric cancer families through movement, holistic healing, and community support.
Through our Athlete Program, Thrive Together Talks, and in-person retreats, we empower pediatric cancer families to pursue their passions and discover joy throughout their journey - both during and after treatment.

HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Meet Our Team

Founders: Josh & Season Johnson
On December 2013, Season and Josh's 2 year old son, Kicker, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and he completed treatment in March, 2017. Through their journey, Season and Josh founded KICKcancER. Season is a certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and they both have a passion for helping people live their healthiest lives! They have a goal of impacting all 400,000 kids who get cancer each year. You can learn more about Season & her mission at www.seasonjohnson.com

Founding Board Member: Shianne Hayden
Shianne's youngest daughter, Delainey, was diagnosed with Synovial Cell Sarcoma at 15 months old. They know firsthand how the teachings of KICKcancER can change the lives of children with cancer. Lainey was healed in Heaven August 3rd, 2016 at 5 years old. But because of KICKcancER her last two years were amazing. She was healthier than all the other children in her unit, she was off all medicines except her chemo and the entire family was able to make some amazing memories because Lainey felt great and her body was stronger than ever! KICKcancER is a very important part of the Hayden family. They are turning their pain into their purpose by spreading the mission of KICKcancER so someday all children can thrive through their cancer diagnosis like Lainey did.

Inspired by the power of nutrition and holistic living, Shannon and her family have become passionate advocates, eager to share their insights.
